SpySpy,” written and directed by Paul Feig, will screen on the May 14 opening night of the Seattle Film Festival with the filmmaker scheduled to attend.

The comedy stars Melissa McCarthy, whose work in Feig’s film “Bridesmaids” earned her an Oscar nom in the supporting actress category.

In “Spy,” McCarthy plays a desk-bound CIA analyst who must go undercover after her partner (Jude Law) and another top agent (Jason Statham) are compromised. Feig will participate in a Q&A following the screening moderated by SIFF artistic director Carl Spence.

Allison Janney, Rose Byrne, Bobby Cannavale, Morena Baccarin, Miranda Hart and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson round out the cast.

With more than 450 features, Seattle is the largest film festival in the U.S. and runs to June 7.
