Fans of “The Walking Dead” will be able to get their hands on two collectible comic book items just in time for the return of AMC’s hit show this October. First, Image Comics will release the “Image Giant-Sized Artist’s Proof Edition: The Walking Dead #1.” The 11×17-inch edition of Robert Kirkman’s first “The Walking Dead” comic features Tony Moore’s artwork stripped of its grey tones.
It’s the not the first time Image Comics has done something like this. Last October, the company released raw-pencil proof edition of “The Walking Dead: All Out War,” featuring Rick Grimes’ battle with Negan. “Image Giant-Sized Artist’s Proof Edition: The Walking Dead #1” will cost $19.99 and arrives in comic book stores on Aug. 26.
But wait…there’s more! “The Walking Dead Compendium Three,” which collects comic book issues 97 through 144 will be released on Oct. 13, two days after “the Walking Dead Season 6’s” premiere on AMC.
Compendium Three will feature several key events, including the introduction of key villains and the deaths of some major characters. The book costs $59.99 and is available for pre-order on Amazon.com.
