Popular Top Gear Host Is Suspended After “Fracas” With Producer

Celebrity Sightings In London - May 14, 2013The BBC has suspended Jeremy Clarkson, the controversial host of hit motoring show “Top Gear,” following a “fracas” with a producer.

The U.K. broadcaster said Clarkson had been suspended “pending an investigation.” The show, which is distributed worldwide, will not air this Sunday.

Last May, the BBC delivered a “final warning” to the presenter after allegations that he used a racist term while filming the show. The BBC told him that if he made “one more offensive remark, anywhere, at any time” he would be sacked.

“Top Gear” is the world’s most widely watched factual television program, with a global audience estimated at more than 350 million in 214 territories worldwide.
