neverending-nightmares-Psychological horror title Neverending Nightmares will scurry to PS Vita and PS4 in the second half of 2016, according to developer Infinitap Games.

Originally released across PC, Mac and Linux in 2014, word of the PlayStation port comes via PS Blog, where the studio’s Creative Director Matt Gilgenbach outlined some of the new improvements set to be included.

Featuring Cross-Buy and Cross-Save support at launch, the monochromatic horror game places you in the shoes of Thomas, and your job is to guide the sickly young boy through a “series of nightmares — each more hellish than the last.” Gilgenbach also notes that a branching narrative will allow players to discover different endings to Thomas’ plight, and the psychedelic narrative is one that’s heavily inspired by cinematic auteur David Lynch.

As for those PlayStation-centric improvements, here’s what the designer had to share:

We’ve taken our time with the PlayStation versions of the game to make sure that you are getting the best possible experience. Firstly, we’ve improved plenty of rough edges on the game. The biggest change is an improvement to the way the branching narrative works. We want gamers to experience all the content in the game, so we’ve made it easier to get to the branching points and have designed them to be a bit more obvious.

Neverending Nightmares will creep onto PS4 and PS Vita in the second half of 2016.
