If you are a fan of Netflix’s Castlevania animated series, you’ll be happy to learn that Season 2 will premiere on the streaming service on October 26th, right before Halloween. If you haven’t watched Season 1 of the series yet, there are only four episodes so you can easily catch up before Season 2 hits. It’s a solid animated series that was met with great reviews from both fans and critics.

The news of the Season 2 release date came from producer Adi Shankar during the Anime Expo. He is also one of the showrunners overseeing work on Castlevania. Season 2 will consist of eight episodes. The anime series is based on the 1989 game Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse, which takes place in 1476. The story follows a hunter named Trevor Belmont who tries to take out Dracula.

Inspired by the classic video game series, Castlevania is a dark medieval fantasy following the last surviving member of the disgraced Belmont clan, trying to save Eastern Europe from extinction at the hand of Vlad Dracula Tepe himself. The animated series is from Frederator Studios, a Wow! Unlimited Media company, written by best-selling author and comic book icon Warren Ellis and executive produced by Warren Ellis, Kevin Kolde, Fred Seibert and Adi Shankar.
