MTV has renewed Finding Carter for a second season, MTV announced Tuesday. The drama stars Kathryn Prescott as a teenager who discovers that the mother she grew up with is actually her abductor. The network has picked up 12 episodes for the second season.
“The creative minds behind Finding Carter did an exceptional job bringing this story to life and drawing our audience in,” President of MTV Programming Susanne Daniels said in a statement. “I’m looking forward to another season following Carter on her journey.”
The season-one finale airs Sept. 16 at 10 p.m. on MTV.
