Microsoft’s Office 365 Now Live Worldwide

Microsoft on Tuesday announced the launch of its cloud-based Office 365. Available in 40 markets, it includes Microsoft Office, Microsoft SharePoint Online, Microsoft Exchange Online and Microsoft Lync Online. All apps are always up to date and accessing them costs $6 per month, though service plans range from $2 to $27 per user per month. This full-blown launch follows a beta release launched last fall.

The business-oriented service is also now being offered by more than 20 carriers from around the world, with just some of them including Bell, Vodafone, Telefonica and NTT.

The service allows users to work on the same file or document at the same time and share ideas quickly and efficiently. The service grants access to Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote, Outlook and other Office applications connect to Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint and Lync.

The $6 per month per user fee grants access to Office Web Apps, Microsoft Exchange Online, Microsoft SharePoint Online, Microsoft Lync Online and an external website.
