Koei Tecmo has confirmed that the next Samurai Warriors game is in the works. The news comes via series producer Hisashi Koinuma, who posted on Twitter saying that development has just started.

Koinuma doesn’t specify what the project actually is,we hope it Samurai Warriors 5, not another spin-off.
The producer states that the game won’t be ready for at least a few years.
The last mainline Samurai Warriors title, Samurai Warriors 4, launched three years ago in 2014.
