Spanish filmmaker Nacho Vigalondo (Colossal, Timecrimes) is teaming with The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman to adapt the time travel-themed Image Comics title The Comeback into a feature thriller for Sony Pictures, per a report by Heat Vision.
Ed Brisson penned the comic which tells of two men who are agents of Reconnect, an illegal venture that will rescue a loved one just before death by going back in time. Under scrutiny by the FBI, a mission goes south and one of the men meets a future version of himself. Both end up on the run.
Vigalondo write and direct the thriller while Kirkman will produce via his Skybound Entertainment production company. Nahikari Ipina, David Alpert and Sean and Bryan Furst will also produce.
