Happy WarsJapanese developer Toylogic announced Tuesday that the Xbox One version of its free-to-play action game Happy Wars will be released this coming Friday, April 24. The game accidentally went live earlier this month, but was swiftly removed from the Xbox Store.

Happy Wars was originally released for Xbox 360 back in 2012 as the platform’s first free-to-play game. It has since tallied nearly 10 million downloads, Toylogic announced today. This is up from 8 million in 2014.

It’s a large-scale online multiplayer game that offers six unique classes and loads of customization options. Check out our review for more on how it plays.

People who already played the Xbox 360 version of Happy Wars will see their progress data (items and rank) transfer over to the Xbox One edition. The new Xbox One version also comes with a split-screen feature that allows up to four people to play on a single console.

Of course, the new edition also comes with better visuals, along with improved lighting, special effects, and textures. In addition, Toylogic said it has updated the Xbox One version of Happy Wars with the 20+ patches that have been released for the Xbox 360 version to date. These updates have included things like more game modes, classes, stages, and items, and new Xbox One players will get all of that from day one.

Although Toylogic had originally planned to offer cross-platform play between the Xbox One and Xbox 360 editions of Happy Wars, this feature was dropped last year.
