EVGA enriched the SuperNOVA P2 Platinum line with three more members in 850 W, 750 W and 650 W capacities. Like the existing P2 units, the new ones are also made by Super Flower, and EVGA backs them up with a ten-year warranty.

In addition, they utilize a fully modular cabling design and are equipped with only Japanese capacitors (which is something that increases their reliability over time), and their fans have double ball bearings to increase longevity. Finally, there is a single +12V rail, which tends to be the favorite choice for most manufacturers (and users) nowadays.

In order to offer a quieter operation, especially at light and medium loads, all P2 units come with an ECO Control Fan system, which operates the PSU in passive mode (during which the fan doesn’t spin) until the internal temperatures reach a specific threshold. On top of that, the SuperNOVA P2 PSUs include the following protections: OVP (Over Voltage Protection), UVP (Under Voltage Protection), OCP (Over Current Protection), OPP (Over Power Protection), and SCP (Short Circuit Protection).

Sadly, Over Temperature Protection (OTP) isn’t supported. This protection is crucial, for a semi-passive PSU, IOHO.

The SuperNova P2 850 W, 750 W and 650 W PSUs cost $180, $150 and $120, respectively.
