The European Commission today gave Nokia permission to move forward with its acquisition of rival Alcatel-Lucent.
Following its initial review, the Commission approved the deal without placing any conditions on the terms.
The acquisition still needs to be approved by Nokia’s shareholders and antitrust regulators in a handful of other countries.
Nokia expects the complete the deal during the first half of 2016.
