The de-listing of the iconic Donkey Kong Country series from the Virtual Console years ago left many nostalgic gamers in mourning. While European Nintendo fans got to see the classic series return last year, North American fans were out of luck. But that all changes today.
All three games in the Donkey Kong Country SNES trilogy are now available on the Wii U eShop. They go for $7.99 each.
In addition, the Donkey Kong Land Game Boy trilogy games are now available on the Nintendo 3DS eShop. They go for $3.99 each.
Their release coincides with a special Donkey Kong “Knock-Out” Offer on the eShop. If you buy one or more of the Donkey Kong Country or Donkey Kong Land games on the Virtual Console, you can get 30% off an eShop purchase of either Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze on Wii U or Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D on 3DS.
