Destiny 2 Will Be Getting 4K and HDR Support Next Month for Xbox One X

Bungie has announced Destiny 2 will support 4K and HDR on Microsoft’s new Xbox One X console with an update on December 5th hte same day that Destiny 2‘s first expansion, Curse of Osiris, comes out.

The PlayStation 4 and PS4 Pro will also get HDR support with the update. The PS4 Pro already supports 4K through a mixture of dynamic resolution and checkerboard rendering, but Bungie’s wording in the announcement suggests the Xbox One X may run the game at native 4K. But we could be wrong, and they might just mean  the One X will use checkerboarding but at the highest resolution.

If you want to play in HDR and 4K right now, get the PC version and play on a rig with an 4K HDR monitor.
