Chris Pine has been set to portray Robert Kennedy, brother of John F. Kennedy, in an upcoming untitled limited series for Hulu, Overbrook Entertainment and Sony Pictures TV Studios.
Based on Larry Tye’s bestselling 2016 political biography, the story offers a detailed portrait of Bobby Kennedy as “a bare-knuckle operative, cynical White House insider and romantic visionary”.
Todd E. Kessler (The Good Wife, Nashville) will pen the adaptation and executive produce with Pine, Tye, James Lassiter and Caleeb Pinkett.
Pine has both Ava DuVernay’s A Wrinkle In Time and David Mackenzie’s Outlaw King due next year, and will shortly re-team with his Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins on TNT’s mini-series One Day She’ll Darken.
