MacGyver will have tech support.

Californication vet Addison Timlin has been cast opposite Lucas Till in CBS’ pilot for a potential reboot of the classic ABC ’80s action drama.

Timlin will play Mickey, a politically progressive app developer with a soft spot for the eponymous troubleshooter.

She joins Michelle Krusiec (Fringe), who has been cast as Homeland Security Agent Croix, sister to conspiracy theorist Lincoln (played by CSI vet George Eads). Joshua Boone (Law & Order: SVU) also stars.

CBS’ contemporary spin on the late-80s/early-90s series, which will follow twentysomething Angus MacGyver as he is recruited into a clandestine organization and uses his knack for problem-solving in unusual ways, will be executive-produced by original series creator Lee David Zlotoff.

Timlin’s other TV credits include a starring role on ABC’s one-and-done Zero Hour, as well as episodes of Law & Order, Law & Order: L.A. and Cashmere Mafia.
