Gone Girl and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice star Ben Affleck looks to have found his next acting role before he begins directing Live By Night.
According to Variety, Affleck is in negotiations to star in the action-thriller The Accountant for Warner Bros. Pictures. The studio is said to be eyeing Gavin O’Connor (Warrior) for the director’s chair.
Based on the script by Bill DuBuque, the film centers on a mild-mannered accountant who moonlights as a lethal assassin.
Kevin Scott Frakes, Lynette Howell, Raj Brinder Singh and Mark Williams are producing the film. Drew Crevello and Jon Gonda will oversee the project.
He’ll begin directing Live By Night, also for Warner Bros., next July.
