AT&T has announced that it has approved Research In Motion’s Bridge application for use on its BlackBerry devices. The Bridge app is essential for BlackBerry users if they wish to access email, calendar, and contacts data on their PlayBook tablet.

In a statement an AT&T spokesperson said, “AT&T has thoroughly reviewed the application and at noon today it will be made available via BlackBerry App World. Our customers’ wireless experience is always our number one priority.” Sprint, T-Mobile, and Verizon Wireless approved the Bridge application back in April, when the PlayBook was released.
