AT&T has added to its range of 4G LTE connectivity devices with a built-in display. The AT&T Beam from Sierra Wireless is a USB modem that connects to the carrier’s 4G LTE network, and like the MiFi Liberate, it comes with its own LCD panel to provide important details, such as the strength of the signal and how much data is remaining in the monthly allowance.

As well as connecting over AT&T, the Beam is able to be used in over 210 countries, thanks to its quad-band GSM/EDGE and tri-band HSPA+ connectivity, while an additional microSD card slot allows the Beam to perform double-duty as both a modem and external storage with a maximum capacity of 32GB. It is said to be able to work on Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows RT laptops and tablets, with Windows 7 users able to run the AT&T AllAccess software to create a mobile hotspot.

The AT&T Beam will go on sale from May 10th, and will cost $20 with a two-year commitment.
