Universal Pictures And Cross Creek Pictures With The Cinema Society Host A Screening Of "A Walk Among The Tombstones"All My Children alum Mark Consuelos will play a pivotal role during Season 2 of DirecTV’s MMA/dysfunctional family drama Kingdom.

Kingdom‘s sophomore run begins with Ryan “The Destroyer” Wheeler (Friday Night Lights‘ Matt Lauria) defending his title and Jay (Parenthood‘s Jonathan Tucker) finding a new obsession, while Alvey’s (Frank Grillo) improved fortune has led to a bigger gym, but also a bigger appetite for risk.

Seemingly tied to that last teaser, Consuelos will recur as Sean Chapas, an ex-fighter and one of Alvey’s oldest friends — “a pivotal character that has the potential to forever impact the fate of the Navy St. MMA gym.”

Elsewhere in Season 2, Lisa (played by Kiele Sanchez) focuses on managing Alicia (Natalie Martinez), an impulsive but skilled female fighter; Nate’s (Nick Jonas) determination to get back in the cage causes riffs with his family and complicates his self-identity; and Christina (Joanna Going) gets a taste of sober life while continuing to carry the burden of her sons’ struggles towards victory.

In addition to his run as AMC‘s Mateo Santos (where he of course met wife Kelly Ripa), Consuelos’ small-screen credits include Amazon’s Alpha House and American Horror Story: Asylum.
