Adata announced a new line in its XPG DDR4 family, “XPG Flame.” The key difference between the XPG Flame line and Adata’s existing XPG products, other than a new heatspreader, is that the XPG Flame memory will be available in both U-DIMM and SO-DIMM models.

The first desktop XPG Flame RAM kits will come in capacities of 4 GB, 8 GB or 16 GB, and they will operate at up to 3,000 MHz. The XPG Flame SO-DIMMs represent the XPG family’s first entry into notebooks. They’ll be available in the same capacities as the XPG Flame desktop RAM, but they will ship with slightly lower clock speeds, with the fastest kit clocked at 2,800 MHz.

All XPG Flame DIMMs come equipped with a new heatspreader that features a flame design stretched across a black background. The XPG Flame line also supports XMP 2.0.
