20th Century Fox has completely overhauled its 2018 schedule with four major releases undergoing significant date changes. These changes follow on from other recent shifts such as the delay of “New Mutants” by almost a year.

The big change is the James Cameron-produced and Robert Rodriguez-directed Alita: Battle Angel which has been pushed back by a full five months from late July to December 21st where it will open against the likes of Aquaman and Bumblebee. Additionally, the Shane Black-directed “The Predator has been delayed by just over a month from August 3rd to September 14th.

On the new date front, a November 8th 2019 release date has been set for Kenneth Branagh’s second outing as Agatha Christie’s iconic Belgian detective Hercule Poirot, this one an adaptation of Death on the Nile. The date puts it exactly two years after the release of Murder on the Orient Express. Finally, a March 5th 2021 release has been pegged for Blue Sky Studios’ animated film Foster. Specifics are unknown at this point.
