Verizon Wireless has confirmed that it offers an expanded series of shared data plans beyond those listed on its web site. Verizon spokesperson Brenda Raney said that customers can ask for and sign up for the higher-limit plans when in a Verizon store or via the phone, but they aren’t available directly from Verizon’s web site.
The additional plans offer 12GB for $110 a month, 14GB for $120 a month, 16GB for $130 a month, 18GB for $140 a month, and 20GB for $150 a month. Verizon charges an overage fee of $15 per 1GB of data above a plan’s data allotment.
The original plans range from 1GB for $50 a month to 10GB for $100 a month, shared between up to 10 different devices.
