Production is now underway on the sixth installment in the Terminator franchise, one that’s a direct sequel to Terminator 2: Judgement Day and effectively ignores the third through fifth films.
While both Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton are returning for the new film, Schwarzenegger won’t be the antagonist this time – that job instead going to Agents of SHIELD actor Gabriel Luna who switches out playing Ghost Rider to take on the role of Skynet’s newest Terminator model.
Schwarzenegger has now posted a photo of himself helping Luna train in a gym in the United States where filming has moved following shoots in Spain and Hungary. Schwarzenegger revealed that he had begun filming in late July with this the first snap of him at work on the project.
Mackenzie Davis and Natalia Reyes also star in the film which Tim Miller is helming and James Cameron will produce.
Terminator is slated to hit cinemas November 22nd 2019.
