First Second Books will launch a new series called Science Comics. The publisher intends for these nonfiction books to reach middle-grade readers.
According to the press release, the first three books slated for release will focus on the following topics: dinosaurs, coral reefs and volcanoes. The publication dates have been set for 2016.
After the launch, one new Science Comics book will be published every season. Future titles will shine the spotlight on a variety of different subject matters including flying machines, bats, and the solar system.
