Once upon a time, the remastered edition of GTAV was scheduled for a cross-platform release on November 18. The PS4 and Xbone got the game on time, but the PC version has been pushed back twice: first to January 27, and now again to March 24.
Rockstar Games has announced another delay, chalking it up to the need for “a few extra weeks of testing,” which are apparently required to make the game “as good as it can be.” The studio offers its apologies—along with assurances that “these few extra weeks will be worth it when the game does arrive in March.” I sure hope so, since the game is now four months behind schedule.
At least Rockstar is doing its due dilligence with PC-exclusive features. GTAV PC will support 4K resolutions, triple-monitor setups, and Nvidia’s 3D Vision stereoscopic 3D scheme, the studio says. Rockstar’s announcement also mentions 60 FPS frame rates, so it looks like we won’t have to put up with a 30 FPS cap like console users.
Speaking of frame rates, Rockstar has taken the opportunity to release the system requirements for GTAV PC version. Here they are:
