The Google TV development team has enhanced the YouTube app for users’ hardware. A new My YouTube tab organizes channels and videos of users. It also sports a new Recommendations feature that will help users watch more of what they like.

Private playlists are featured as a grid of videos to allow users to quickly find any video in their Watch Later or Favorites stockpile. Users can find new channels with the freshly added Channel Search field, and then subscribe to them, having them constantly updated in the My YouTube tab.

The best possible quality will be played back, as the app will automatically play at the highest available resolution based on the web connection and its speed. It will prioritize smooth and constant playback over quality, so videos won’t likely need to constantly pause one the playback catches up to the download progress.

Likewise new is to +1 a video like on the YouTube website through a user’s Google+ profile.

The updated app is available now.
