Information overload, our computer age friend.   It rears its ugly head threw the barrage of papers, e-mails, PDFs, spreadsheets, Word documents, blogs and wikis and other forms of content that are circulated on a daily basis.

Enter DocuShare Express – Xerox Corporation’s content management software, tailored exclusively for the SMB market to help manage business critical documents.   DocuShare Express is an electronic filing system that provides easy storage, retrieval and sharing of information. Its Web-based folders can accommodate paper and digital content.

Xerox claims DocuShare Express is a quick install process and requires little technical knowledge to install.

“Smaller businesses can find it tough to avoid the black hole of information overload,” said David Smith, vice president, DocuShare Business Unit, Xerox. “DocuShare Express puts SMBs on equal ground with large enterprises when it comes to managing information and gaining efficiencies.”

DocuShare Express also includes a time-saving imaging and scanning feature, which enables documents to be uploaded to specific DocuShare folders using special scan cover sheets. The product can also be upgraded to DocuShare or DocuShare CPX when more advanced content management capabilities are needed.

The entry-level U.S. list price for DocuShare Express starts at $1,800 for 10 users and 10 read-only seats. It will be available through Xerox direct sales representatives and channel partners. DocuShare Express will be rolled out globally starting in September.
