Microsoft has shown off how its Xbox One game console will work for multitasking between games and apps. A short video demonstrating quick switching and actions by voice commands through Kinect also shows how game players will be able to use multiple apps at the same time, as well as sharing content with other users.

The video spotted by Polygon has the player turning on the conole, playing a movie, loading up the Activity Feed, and transferring to Titanfall by voice commands alone. Commands of “Xbox, Record that” and “Xbox, Share” starts the console’s recording capability and social sharing, while “Xbox, Snap Internet Explorer” opened the browser to one side of the screen with the rest of the display showing a live TV feed, in a similar way to the Windows 8.1 interface. Alerts from other apps and command confirmations appeared at the bottom of the screen, with an incoming Skype call ended by “Xbox, Hang up.”

It remains to be seen if consumers will have a similar experience with the Kinect on the Xbox One, due to the video being a fast-moving and slick promotional clip. As the console’s launch on November 22nd gets closer, it is expected that more Xbox One usage videos will be released by Microsoft.
