wileyfox-storm-and-swiftThis morning in London, new smartphone brand Wileyfox has announced two new Android handsets running CyanogenOS 12.1.

The Wileyfox Swift is a 5-inch device with a 720p display and dual-SIM support, powered by Qualcomm’s entry-level 64-bit processor, the Swift also boasts a 13-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front-facer, as well as 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage and expandable memory up to 32GB via microSD. With these specs, the Swift looks to take on Motorola’s third-gen Moto G with a differentiated software experience powered by CyanogenOS.

At the higher end of the spectrum is the Wileyfox Storm, a 5.5-inch handset with a 1080p display. Like the Swift, it’s a dual-SIM device, but the Storm stems up to a Snapdragon 615 processor with 3GB of RAM. There’s a 20-megapixel Sony camera around the back, as well as an 8-megapixel front-facer. And with 32GB of internal flash and microSD support, the Storm should provide plenty of space for all your stuff.

The Swift will retail for £129 in the UK in September, while the Storm will sell for £199 in October. Right now, both appear to be strong entrants into the entry-level and mid-range space, with specs to challenge the latest phones from Motorola, and unique software experience and feature set thanks to CyanogenOS.
