Vizio has put its new 11.6-inch Windows 8 Tablet PC up for order through its online store. The new tablet runs an AMD Z-60 APU with integrated AMD Radeon HD 6250 graphics and includes a Microsoft Signature edition of Windows 8 with no bloatware pre-installed. Unlike similar devices from other makers, Vizio is not supplying a keyboard dock for its Tablet PC, but says its compatible with a wide array of third-party Bluetooth keyboards and mice.

The Vizio Windows 8 Tablet PC centers on an 11.6-inch 1080p display with support for 10-point simultaneous touch input. Sound is provided by dual SRS-powered stereo speakers, while on board storage is capped at 64GB, less the space taken up by the OS. A 2-megapixel camera is built into the front-only for video chatting, though it does not incorporate a rear facing camera. Connectivity includes 802.11n dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 support. Ports include micro-HDMI and one microUSB 2.0 type. The Tablet PC weighs in at 1.80 pounds, with its 33.3Wh battery rated for up to 5 hours.

The Vizio Windows 8 Tablet PC is retailing for $600 and is shipping now.
