During a Japanese press presentation for One Piece: Pirate Warriors 2, Sony Computer Entertainment Japan president Hiroshi Kawano said that sales for the PlayStation Vita have increased four-fold following the system’s price drop.
Media Create numbers prior to the price drop on February 28 show Vita sales of 11,000 units. We’ll see numbers for last week on Wednesday, but Kawano’s statements could mean sales as high as 44,000.
The week ended on February 24 was also the first time that the PlayStation Vita beat out the Nintendo Wii U in sales.
