Ad network Chitika Insights has launched a live iPhone carrier tracker which will show the percentage of the handsets at each provider. The tracker will get hourly updates and represent a 24-hour rolling average throughout the day by recording traffic on cellular connections. While the Verizon iPhone has just launched recently, its share has already reached four percent of iPhone-based traffic on Saturday, 12, 2011.
Verizon’s pre-sales have beaten any other handset’s numbers at the carrier, although the retail launch was samller compared to typical iPhone releases.
