Verizon Wireless today said it has completed upgrades to its service along portions of San Francisco’s BART public transit system.
Verizon has enhanced coverage with XLTE (1700MHz) throughout BART tunnels, stations, and the Transbay Tube. Verizon said the Colma to Millbrae section of BART will see similar service upgrades by the middle of the year.
In addition to XLTE, Verizon Wireless’ Advanced Calling 1.0 (VoLTE) with HD Voice service is also available throughout the BART system. San Francisco’s BART transports 400,000 riders every day.
