USA Network has cancelled the Ryan Phillippe-led drama series Shooter, based on the 2007 Mark Wahlberg feature film of the same name, after three seasons.
The series endured various external challenges during its three-season run, but the recent season ranked as the lowest-rated drama on the network with 1.5 million overall viewers and less than a third of that being in the key demo.
Universal Cable Productions and Paramount Television co-produced the series which Netflix co-financed and has SVOD rights to. The upcoming September 13th third season finale will now serve as the series finale as well.
USA Network also recently cancelled the sci-fi series Colony.
