TweetDeck for MAC Gets New UI Featuring Columns Sidebar

Posted by at 2:46 pm on June 14, 2013

Twitter has posted an updated Mac version of TweetDeck, its more advanced client software. The v3.0.2 release makes a number of interface changes, most notably adding a sidebar to the lefthand side. This lets users quickly jump between columns, instead of having to scroll through them. Columns can be quickly rearranged by dragging them around within the sidebar.

The app as a whole has been given a “cleaner” look, including more space for columns and tweets. Other new features include tweet translations, and enhanced filtering. Interactions can be filtered by mentions, retweets, favorites, followers or lists, and search columns can be filtered according to engagement — meaning minimum numbers of retweets, favorites, or replies.

TweetDeck is a free download, and requires OS X 10.6.
