Bandai Namco Entertainment began streaming the fist promotional video on Monday for the Tokyo Ghoul Jail PlayStation Vita game. The “adventure RPG” will ship this fall.

Bandai Namco Entertainment had revealed the game in January under the title Tokyo Ghoul Masquerader.

The game will feature a story that differs from the original manga, and it will also feature an original protagonist named Rio (pictured below). Original manga creator Sui Ishida designed the character, and Kensho Ono will voice him in the game. Weekly Shonen Jump describes Rio as trying to find “Jail” to prove his own innocence. Natsuki Hanae will reprise his role as Ken Kaneki for the game.

The game takes place after the battle of the Aogiri Tree in the 11th ward. Rio works with Kaneki to accomplish a certain goal. Based on dialogues and the relationships built with other characters from the manga series such as Ken Kaneki, Tōka Kirishima, Kōtaro Amon, and Jūzō Suzuya, the game’s ending will change.

The first edition of the game will include a product code to download an original custom theme, as well as a serial code for an SSR Kaneki card that players can use in the “Tokyo Ghoul Carnaval” smartphone game that is now available for iOS and Android.
