Tiny Token EmpiresTiny Token Empires, the game that is a mix between match-3 and turn-based strategythat was awarded Five Stars on Gamezebo and the Silver Award on Pocket Gamer UK, is now available on the PS3 on the PlayStation Network for $9.99.

Tiny Token Empires is set in the ancient worlds of Rome, Greece, Egypt, Persia and Carthage. Players take the role of one of the major ancient empires and the goal is, of course, to take over the world. This is done by moving armies across the map to annex new territories by developing cities and armies.

In order to fight opposing armies, gamers play a match-3 round where each type of token on the match-3 board is related to a unit class (infantry, cavalry, etc.). Whenever they match three or more tokens pertaining to the same unit class, that unit’s power meter increases. A unit is ready to attack when its power meter is full. Each attack inflicts damage (loss of life points) to opponent units. If a unit’s life meter goes down to 0, that unit is permanently destroyed. By destroying all opponent’s army units players win the battle and become more powerful.

In addition the makers of Tiny Token Empires — BiP media — has decreed a kingdom’s worth of exclusive features for the PSN version including a new campaign with mythological monsters, improved AI, a new local multiplayer mode, enhanced graphics and animations and new characters.

Players already familiar with the game should download the full PSN version for an enhanced experience.  For those who haven’t gotten the chance to play it on the other platforms, they can get a taste of the strategy-puzzle action with the new Demo also available on the PSN. The Demo consists of the first campaign, that of Rome, which acts as a tutorial. Check out the trailer for the game below to see more!
