Netflix has announced the full major cast for its upcoming The Witcher TV series based on the popular novel and video game franchise. Schmidt Hissrich will serve as executive producer and showrunner on the eight episode first season to air sometime in 2020.

As previously reported, Henry Cavill will be playing Geralt of Rivia in the upcoming adaptation and will be joined by 17-year-old Freya Allan as Ciri the Princess of Cintra, Anya Chalotra as the sorceress Yennefer, Jodhi May as Queen Calanthe, Mimi Ndiweni as fledgling sorceress Fringilla and Sabrina as Therica Wilson-Read.

There’s also Millie Brady as outcast Princess Renfri, Adam Levy as the druid Mousesack, Björn Hlynur Haraldsson as Queen Calanthe’s husband, the knight Eist, and MyAnna Buring as Tissaia, head of the magical academy.

The story sees Geralt as a solitary monster hunter, struggling to find his place in a world where people often prove more wicked than beasts. But when destiny hurtles him toward a powerful sorceress, and a young princess with a dangerous secret, the three must learn to navigate the increasingly volatile Continent together.
