The CW‘s new superhero series Black Lightning will debut its one-hour pilot episode Tuesday, Jan. 16 at 9 p.m. DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, whose time slot Black Lightning is taking, will return with new episodes on a different night and time in February.
The premiere will introduce Jefferson Pierce (Cress Williams), a father, principal, and retired superhero with the power to harness and control electricity who puts on his Black Lightning mask for the first time in nearly a decade to save his endangered community and family.
