Ace Combat Infinity Now Targeting 2014 Release

Ace Combat: Infinity won’t land this year, making it the second of Namco’s free-to-play PS3 games to barrel roll into 2014. Both it and Soulcalibur: Lost Swords were due in 2013, but with the year rapidly drawing to a close, Namco Bandai made their delays official. Both games underwent beta testing in recent months, with […]

Soulcalibur: Lost Swords Is Delayed Until 2014

Free-to-play fighter Soulcalibur: Lost Swords is now due in 2014, after originally being pinned to hit PS3 via PSN in winter 2013. The new release window was announced on the series’ official Facebook page, and via two trailers from Namco Bandai Europe. The two trailers showcase returning combatants Sophitia and Siegfried, but are essentially the […]

New Screens for SoulCalibur: Lost Swords

Namco’s newly released screens of free-to-play, single-player entry SoulCalibur: Lost Swords are more revealing than they first seem. According to Siliconera, what we’re looking at is a support system that lets you temporarily swap in a friend’s character for your own. Namco Bandai hasn’t released any concrete details on what modes feature in Lost Swords, but we do know […]

Ridge Racer Driftopia Coming this Year is Free-to-Play

Ridge Racer usually breaks ground by being a launch game on … pretty much every platform ever. Now it’s innovating by adopting a new model, free-to-play, and bringing it to a new level of silly nomenclature by calling it “free-2-drift.” Ridge Racer Driftopia, developed by Ridge Racer Unbounded’s Bugbear Entertainment, is a racing game in […]

Demon’s Souls Hitting PSN in Europe on January 23

The PlayStation Network version of Demon’s Souls is bringing death and despair to Europe on January 23, Namco Bandai tells us. That means our friends across the ocean must wait a little longer for From Software’s downloadable dose of role-playing desolation, following yesterday’s news of it coming to North America’s PSN this coming Tuesday. Namco […]

Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 Delayed

Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 was originally going to take a shot at retail in March, but decided to wait for August instead. Now, it appears the timing still isn’t right, as the game will now be released on October 9, Namco has informed Eurogamer. Namco is distributing the game in Europe, but GameStop and Amazon […]

Project X Zone Has Over 200 Characters

The Capcom, Sega, and Namco 3DS crossover game Project X Zone will feature over 200 characters, according to a post on the game’s official blog, as translated by Andriasang. This number refers to a combination of allies and enemies, and doesn’t account for event scene-only characters, all of which will reportedly come from franchises spanning […]

Snoop Dogg Song for Tekken Tag Tournament 2

Remember that time Snoop Dogg became a background element in Tekken Tag Tournament 2? Namco confirmed it for us today by releasing a video of the song Snoop made for his stage, called “Knocc ’em Down.

Monolith Joins the Project X Zone Dev Effort

Add a fourth company to the group contributing to Project X Zone – Nintendo. At least, it’s a Nintendo-owned developer creating the 3DS Capcom/Namco/Sega crossover SRPG. Monolith Soft, most recently known for Xenoblade Chronicles, is developing the new game, Famitsu has revealed (via Andriasang). It makes sense given Monolith’s history – it developed Namco X […]

Ridge Racer Unbounded Is Now Delayed World Wide

Ridge Racer Unbounded’s delay in Europe is unfortunately extending to the rest of the world.  Namco announced this afternoon that Unbounded is delayed until “later in 2012,” and a new date will be given “shortly,” alongside news of pre-order incentives and game features.
