T-Mobile in a quick statement Monday confirmed its plans to carry the BlackBerry Bold 9900. While short on details, the carrier confirmed that its version will support the faster HSPA+ 3G to make it “4G capable” on the network. A launch was coming later this year.

The 9900 on T-Mobile is likely to support Wi-Fi calling but would otherwise just have to support its native 3G bands. Every version has a 1.2GHz processor, a 2.8-inch, 640×480 touchscreen, and all the faster graphics and new features of BlackBerry 7.

RIM when unveiling the phone hinted that it would support both T-Mobile as well as AT&T and most Canadian carriers. The existence of a 9930 model with CDMA also makes Verizon and possibly Sprint both strong candidates.
