T-Mobile has quietly updated the mobile hotspot options available to customers who choose its $70 Unlimited plan.
The original $70 Unlimited plan provided customers with unlimited talk, text, and web, but only 500MB of mobile hotspot or tethering data. If customers wanted to use their smartphone or tablet for tethering beyond 500MB per month, they had to pay additional fees for a 2.5GB or 4.5GB allotments.
Now, the $70 Unlimited plan includes 2.5GB of mobile hotspot data. T-Mobile is offering 4.5GB of mobile hotspot data for an extra $30 per month and 6.5GB of mobile hotspot data for an extra $40 per month.
