SwiftKey recently published a new version of its popular Android keyboard application.

The company has made a shift from its previous sales model, which required users to pay for the app ($4) outright. Moving forward, SwiftKey is offering the keyboard for free, but will require in-app purchases to add extra features, such as alternate keyboards, themes, emoji, and an optional number row. Customers who’ve already paid for the app will receive a 10-pack of themes, which sells for $5, for free. SwiftKey said more than 30 themes are available and it will add more over time.

The latest version of the app also adds support for more languages, improves the prediction engine, and makes Word Flow more accurate.

SwiftKey is free to download from the Google Play Store.
