StumbleUpon, Now Beyond the Toolbar and Open to All

StumbleUpon  today announced the rollout of a new Stumbling experience to bring discovery to a much broader audience. Starting today, consumers will be able to use the site without having to register for StumbleUpon or download the StumbleUpon Toolbar.

This new “beyond the toolbar”  expand the reach and usefulness of the service. By simply visiting, anyone can begin Stumbling the web to discover content that matches their interests, without registering, and without downloads or installations.

“StumbleUpon’s personalized recommendation engine delivers more than 350 million Stumbles every month to our six million members. We help consumers discover highly relevant and engaging content that they might not otherwise come across,” said Garrett Camp, co-founder of StumbleUpon. “By allowing people to now Stumble without registering or downloading a toolbar, we will surface the best content on the Web to an even wider audience.”

In addition to a new way to stumble, the site has been redesigned to improve the discovery experience, give more relevant content and topic-based navigation to provide an easy way to discover content in a particular area.  StumbleUpon will be updating the  profile pages, site navigation, user reviews, rating and comments in the coming months

As StumbleUpon rolls out move features, registered users will have the ability to Stumble from any computer and any browser when they do not have access to the StumbleUpon Toolbar. StumbleUpon will also be rolling out a new user experience for profile pages, site navigation, user reviews, rating and comments -“ providing users with even more insight from like-minded friends.
