Sprint today increased the footprint of its LTE 4G network and its Sprint Spark service. Sprint LTE is now available in 41 new cities around the country, bringing the total to 443 cities and 225 million people.

Some of the new markets include Long Island, N.Y., Minneapolis, Minn.; and Phoenix, Ariz. Sprint Spark appeared in six new markets today, including Oakland, Calif.; Orlando and West Palm Beach, Fla.; Waukegan, Ill.; Newark, N.J.; and Tacoma, Wash.

Sprint Spark is now available in 24 cities around the country. According to Sprint, Spark offers LTE speeds up to 60Mbps and is available to 14 different devices in its roster. Sprint said it is on target to cover 100 million people with Spark by the end of the year, though it didn’t specify how many people are covered in the existing 24 cities.

Sprint also announced its first quarter results today. The company lost $151 million on revenue of $8.88 billion. It lost 231,000 postpaid subscribers, 364,000 prepaid subscribers, but added 212,000 wholesale and affiliate customers. Net subscriber losses amount to 383,000 customers. Sprint blames the customer losses on “service disruptions associated with the company’s ongoing network overhaul.”
