The first Sony handset to ship with Android 4.0 onboard will be the Xperia Neo L MT25i, the company revealed in China on Tuesday. A successor to the Neo and Neo V, the phone will sport a four-inch, 480×854 touchscreen, HSDPA 3G, 512MB of RAM, and a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.

Otherwise, there is a five-megapixel camera onboard that can shoot 720p video and gets an LED flash. For video calls, a VGA camera is up front. Onboard storage space is said to only be 1GB, but a microSD memory card slot is present. A 1,500mAh battery will power the device. Black and white colors will be available for the hardware, which is a big visual break from 2012 phones in other countries.

Neither ship dates nor prices were revealed, and it’s also unclear whether it will be exclusive to China. The current Xperia Ion, Xperia S, Xperia P, Xperia U, and Xperia Sola will be upgraded to Android 4.0 before year’s end
