Daniel Casey (10 Cloverfield Lane) has been hired to rewrite Leigh Janiak’s remake of the teen supernatural thriller The Craft at Sony Pictures per report by the Tracking Board.
With word that Casey is onboard shows the the project is still moving forward. Doug Wick and Lucy Fisher will produce.
Andrew Fleming’s original film starred Robin Tunney as a teenage girl who befriends a group of budding witches (Neve Campbell, Fairuza Balk and Rachel True).
Casey is currently working on Fede Alvarez’s Incognito, plus adapting Larry Niven’s Inconstant Moon.
