Snapchat Debuts ‘Memories’ to Save Snaps and Stories

Posted by at 11:41 am on July 6, 2016

SnapchatSnapchat today said it is adding a new tool to help users save their favorite snaps and stories.

Memories are stored below the camera app; users need only swipe up to see them. The idea is to let people access and view their own content. Snapchat says Memories is meant for storing favorited snaps and stories, it will not auto-upload photos or videos from the camera roll. Users can search to find specific snaps, and even use the content in stored snaps and stories to create new snaps.

The tool includes a section called My Eyes Only so users don’t accidentally share content that may have been meant just for them.

Snapchat is rolling out the Memories tool to users gradually over the next month.
