Because of new distribution channels like Steam or gog.com, PC games are back in the game again. And even many console hits are finding their way to PC and sometimes offer a better visual appearance than their console counterparts.

For a perfect gaming experience, starting January 2013 snakebyte will offer two brand new PC controllers from their x:con range, which support the old DirectInput standard as well as the new XInput standard.

Via XInput the controller can be used natively like an Xbox 360 controller on your PC. That way you will be able to play all new games which make use of the analog thumb sticks and shoulder buttons. The classic DirectInput mode ensures complete compatibility with classic PC games which still focus on older input protocols.

Not only does the x:con work with your PC, it can also be used with PlayStation 3 which makes it a very versatile controller.

The x:con will be available in a wired as well as in a wireless version. Both controllers offer Dual Vibration, without the need of an additional driver, and a programmable Turbo function. The controller will be available starting January 2013.
